Bridging wan and lan and Squid in transparent mode

New postby firewire » Mon May 30, 2016 5:11 pm

Hi

I'm evaluating a distro that permit to install a box with two ethernet (WAN and LAN) bridging them and configure Squid (and squidguard) in Transparent mode.
Can all these things can be done with artica out of box (as Untangle already does)?

ThankU for your attention

Untangle is designed to be a strong firewall as Artica is designed to be a strong Proxy
Artica deliver for you best features based on Layer 7 ( caching, web-filtering, antivirus, SSL, reporting) but is poor on Firewall features.
Sure Artica is able to perform your needs but it is designed to be behind a strong firewall as untangle is one of the best to be the main router between LAN and WAN

The best integration is clients -> Artica -> Untangle -> Internet
