Wrong password for VMWare version of Artica? [CLOSED]

New postby Luc Stepniewski » Wed Nov 28, 2007 10:35 am

I can't log into the Ubuntu VMWare machine as root. I tried, as specified on the download page the password "artica", but it doesn't work (tried in AZERTY and QWERTY).
Anyway, I booted in single user mode and added an account to logon. The next problem is that it seems that this VMWare image only contains an Ubuntu, nothing else (I expected to find Artica :-). There's not even Postfix installed :-(

The artica vmware is out-of-version now
I will restart to install a new vmware with the latest version...
There was too many changes since the vmware is release...

David this topic should be close.

The Vmware password is "secret". In the first install we can enter and works fine.
If people wants to enter in a ssh connection, the user root has no password. Pleople can enter with no password and after change it.
